Position Title: Audio Visual Technician

Location: St. Charles, MO

Position Summary:

The Audio-Visual Technician will assemble and install commercial A/V sound systems and satellite equipment into promotional vehicles. Additionally, the Audio-Visual Technician will be responsible for running and terminating A/V wiring, installing, and testing equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) during installation of commercial audio visual, video conference, and control systems.
• Test and program control systems and digital signal audio processors.
• Coordinate projects through the final adjustments and commission of installed systems.
• Follow instructions, equipment lists, floor plans, rack and console elevations.
• Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
• Maintain customer confidence by keeping project information confidential.
• Maintain up-to-date job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and/or reading professional publications.
• Responsible for training the customer on installed equipment.
• Assist with training coworkers on assembly and installation of A/V sound systems and satellite equipment.
• Assist with other duties, as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years' experience with electronics, wiring, installation of sound systems and satellite.
• Proficient in problem solving and troubleshooting.
• Knowledgeable of commercial AV industry and products.
• Excellent oral, written, communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Provide high level of customer service in challenging or difficult situations.
• Maintain a positive rapport with customers by investigating complaints, identifying solutions, suggesting improved methods and techniques, and recommending system improvements.

Physical Requirements:

• Physical ability to stand up to 8+ hours per day.
• Physically able to climb in and out of trailers, scaffolding and ladders.
• Ability to lift & carry up to 75 lbs.
• Up to 5% of travel may be required for on-site assistance/repair.
