Craftsmen Industries custom manufactures unique specialty trailers and vehicles and large format printed elements for experiential marketing and industrial solutions for brands across the industry spectrum including Boeing, PepsiCo, and Anheuser-Busch. Our Craftsmen team includes one subsidiary, Schantz Manufacturing. Schantz focuses on custom manufacturing of concession trailers for the fair and festival industry.

Position Title: Collections Specialist

Location: St. Charles, MO

Position Summary:

The Collections Specialist will be primarily responsible for making collection calls and resolving payment discrepancies.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Review open accounts for collection efforts and make collection calls on past due balances
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies
• Prepare account reconciliations as assigned
• Coordinate efforts with collection agencies when accounts are turned over
• Request references for Customer Credit Applications and provide information to Chief Financial Officer for credit review
• Backup for company credit card process including review of expense reports, posting of expenses to MO's and in payables
• Maintain professionalism and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers
• Compile information and prepare spreadsheets to assist with external audits (financial, lenders, sales & use tax)
• Assist with Accounts Payable transactions as needed
• Other general accounting duties as assigned

Required Skills:

• Education: Associate degree or equivalent two-year college or technical school or 2 years or more related experience and / or training
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Attention to detail with the ability to write professional business correspondence, and clearly articulate business communication
• Ability to work with a diverse group of people (internal and external) and in a team environment

Physical Skills:

Must be able to remain stationary in a sitting position for up to 8 hours a day.

Ability to communicate via phone and in person to vendors and employees.

Required use of fingers and hands to operate a computer.
