Craftsmen Industries custom manufactures unique specialty trailers and vehicles and large format printed elements for experiential marketing and industrial solutions for brands across the industry spectrum including Boeing, PepsiCo, and Anheuser-Busch. We pride ourselves on creating our products fully in-house from initial design and engineering to fabrication and the finishing touches of graphics and paint.

Our Craftsmen team includes one subsidiary, Schantz Manufacturing. Schantz focuses on custom manufacturing of concession trailers for the fair and festival industry.

Position Title: General Laborer

Location: Highland, IL

Primary Responsibilities:

• Operate hand tools safely and effectively (i.e. Air Drills, Cordless Drills, Pop-Rivet Gun, Pry Bars, & Hammers).
• Use Manlifts, Ladders, and Scaffolding.
• Keep work site clean, free of hazards and obsolete materials.
• Assist spotting drivers when they are backing trailers into the shop.
• Follow instruction as well as report issues with materials, equipment and unsafe conditions to immediate Supervisor or Team Lead.
• All other responsibilities, as assigned.

Required Skills:

• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Operate chop saw, drills, and other power equipment.
• Ability to work cohesively within a team.
• Follow and commit to all safety protocols.

Physical Requirements:

• Meet the physical demands of job:
  • Standing for long periods of time.
  • Climb ladders.
  • Carry up to 50 lbs.
