Position Summary:
Responsible for all graphics activities associated with projects after receipt of a purchase order. Works with the project team to handle design, purchasing, and order creation for all graphics elements on the job. This position will be tasked with full Project Management responsibilities.
Position Title: Graphics Project Manager
Location: St. Charles, MO
Primary Responsibilities:
- Supports special projects providing sales and estimating staff with materials and process recommendations for quotes.
- Communicate/order graphics work for special projects.
- Provide technical graphics knowledge to Project Managers and Engineers.
- Investigate and initiate processes to streamline graphics work and improve consistency.
- Go through the Statement of Work to determine timelines for:
- Template creation
- Artwork due date
- Client expectation
- Installation / removal
- Determine materials to be used and establish lead times in coordination with Project Manager.
- Establish any engineering and/or safety concerns (as necessary).
- Review estimated costs and any outsourced materials sourced by the Estimating department.
- Receive and review client supplied art.
- Communicate with client informed of progress of project.
- Monitor materials, labor, and coordinate with shop floor as necessary for installation.
- Create MO's, track purchase requisitions, and general use of Great Plains.
- Create art files, templates, route files in Adobe Illustrator.
- Working knowledge of materials and methods for graphics printing and fabrics.
- Must be able to handle multiple projects and be disciplined to work on critical path activities.
Required Skills:
High School Diploma with 4-6 years' experience with graphics projects.
Preferred: Associates Degree or higher specializing in Graphics or Marketing with 2-4 years' experience with graphics projects.
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
Physical Requirements:
- Sit for long periods of time.
- Required to stand and walk.
- Use hands and fingers, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms.
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
