Position Title: IT Helpdesk Technician

Location: St. Charles, MO

Position Summary:

Provides first level IT technical support and maintenance to onsite and remote users. Assists with IT related duties and projects to help improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the IT department.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides level 1 technical support to users who submit IT requests via phone or email from onsite and remote locations regarding various computer applications, hardware and other technical issues.
  • Troubleshoots software, hardware, and network issues.
  • Setup new computers for users.
  • Setup new users in various systems.
  • Keep all computers up to date with the latest updates and patches.
  • Administer and maintain all printers.
  • Work on projects given by the Systems Administrator.
  • Maintain IT department inventory of all hardware.
  • Administer and maintain endpoint protection on all computers in the network.
  • Write basic reports using SSSRS and or Excel.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Education: Associates Degree in Information Technology or related field and a minimum of 1 year of experience working in an IT technical support role or 3 + years of experience working in a IT technical support role.
  • Skills: Active Directory, Server and Client operating systems, Microsoft Office programs, SQL Server, VBA.
  • Consistently displays strong communication and customer service skills to assure that the IT team maintains a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Some local travel may be required for the purpose of on-site assistance/repair.
  • Valid state driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Demonstrate safe driving practices while driving company vehicles or when driving your personal vehicle on behalf of the company.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to move about the office.

Position self to stoop and bend under desks and computer access areas.

Move and lift computers and equipment up to 50 lbs.

Ability to communicate via phone and in person to internal and external customers.

Required use of fingers and hands to operate, troubleshoot and set up computers and other equipment.

Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
