Position Title: Janitor

Location: St. Charles, MO

Primary Responsibilities: The Janitor is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness within and around designated facilities (Craftsmen and Teduke). This role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for occupants and visitors. The Janitor plays a crucial role in upholding hygiene standards and contributing to the overall satisfaction of building occupants.

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting surfaces.
• Disinfect commonly used items like refrigerator doors, microwaves, door handles, etc...
• Empty and sanitize waste bins and dispose of trash in designated receptacles.
• Clean and sanitize restroom facilities including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors.
• Replenish restroom supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper, as needed.
• Clean and maintain common areas including corridors, lobbies, and entrances.
• Sweep and remove debris from sidewalks, pathways, parking lots, and other exterior areas.
• Perform seasonal maintenance tasks such as leaf removal, snow shoveling, and salting walkways during inclement weather.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure availability for future tasks.
• Follow established safety procedures and protocols to minimize hazards in the workplace.
• Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with special cleaning projects or tasks as assigned by supervisors.
• Adhere to company policies and regulations regarding cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• All other duties, as assigned.

Required Skills:

• High school diploma and 2+ years of experience in janitorial or custodial work.
• Familiarity with cleaning techniques, equipment, and materials.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
• Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and perform repetitive tasks.
• Excellent communication skills and a cooperative attitude towards teamwork.

Physical Requirements:

• Physically able to stand up 8+ hours per day.
• Physically able to move and transport up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to stand, walk, sit, stoop, squat, kneel, climb, balance, and reach overhead.
• Ability to bend, grip and move fingers/hands.
• Ability to work in various environments and weather conditions.
