Position Title: Journeyman Electrician

Location: St. Charles, MO


Position Summary:

Oversee, teach, and qualify all electrical work as safe and to NEC code, as required and meet all quality standards and project deadlines assigned to the Electrical Department.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support a small team of Electrical Technicians to ensure electrical projects are safe, meet quality standards and project timelines.
  • Train and coaches other team members on electrical principles, standard operating procedures, and best practices.
  • Support engineers and project managers in best practices.
  • Perform electrical installations on assigned projects.
  • Troubleshoot electrical applications.
  • Ensure all electrical work is safe/reliable and meets code.
  • Performs building and machine maintenance.

Required Skills:

  • Experience as a Journeyman Electrician.
  • Understands and follows all NEC codes, working with conduit, pulling wires, installing, trouble shooting, and terminating main panels.
  • Working knowledge of 120/240v single phase, 120/208v 3 phase, 480v and up.
  • Knowledge of low voltage systems such as 12-24 vdc systems with batteries, chargers, inverters, lighting, etc.
  • Knowledge of onboard generators and shore power for AC power.
  • Follows strict OSHA safety standards.
  • Displays strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Prior work experience as a maintenance electrician.
  • Prior work experience PLC installation.
  • Comfortable working in an office/shop environment and speaking with internal/external customers.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge in AV and CAT 6.
  • Knowledge of Welding in Mig and Tig.

Physical Skills:

  • Must have the physical ability to do the following:
  • Stand up to 8+ hours per day.
  • Climb in and out of trailers, scaffolding and ladders.
  • Lift & carry up to 75 lbs.
  • Less than 5% of offsite travel maybe required for customer assistance/repair.
