Position Title: Painter - 2nd Shift

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday
• 2pm - Midnight (4-Days / 10-Hour Shift)

Location: St. Charles, MO

Position Summary: Perform all paint related duties set forth by Paint Shop Supervisor. Paint Preparation, Mixing Paint, Spraying and all other paint related tasks.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Must ensure safety of team through good housekeeping, safe work practices, and overall paint department safety and PPE Compliance.
• Ensure all paint related flammables are secured and identified.
• Help oversee waste disposal efforts, in coordination with (Safety/Operations Documentation Coordinator).
• Supports reporting of all HAPS and VOCs usages, in coordination with (Safety/Operations Documentation Coordinator).
• Responsible for ensuring a positive attitude.
• Responsible for starting MDR forms and filling out Non-Conformance reports.
• Ensures overall quality of all paint efforts.
• Maintain proper paint systems adherence and ensure appropriate equipment quality for application.
• Responsible for all maintenance issues on all paint shop equipment (i.e., paint booths, filters, etc.) and the upkeep of maintenance schedules.
• Point out all potential roadblocks/inefficiencies.
• Post paint materials to Manufacturing Orders (MO) on a daily basis, in coordination with (Safety/Operations Document Coordinator).
• Maintenance oversite to all paint shop equipment and report maintenance issues to Operations Manager.
• Inform Staff of any and all items needed promptly.
• Perform daily work assignments in accordance to MOs and in the hours allotted for the task.
• Ensure cost effective paint operation.
• Work with cross-functional team members to ensure quality and meet deadlines.
• Relay all communications with customer or customer representative regarding changes or additions to Staff.

Required Skills:

• High School Diploma, Trade School or equivalent.
• Skills: Must possess or add to skill sets as follows:
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Read and understand paint layout instructions
  • Read tape measure
  • Use of air and electric hand tools
  • Basic welding
  • Experience working with and applying all types of automotive type coatings
  • Experience using paint pots
  • Experience in prep work and masking/taping
  • Experience in body work and working with fillers
  • Experience mixing paints/tints
  • Experience in detail work
  • Safely operate man lift and forklift

Physical Requirements:

• Physically able to use Respiratory Protection.

• Ability to stand up to 8+ hours per day.

• Ability to climb in and out of trailers, scaffolding and ladders, lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
• Some travel may be required for on-site assistance/repair.
