Position Title: Plumber

Location: Highland, IL

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Plumber to perform plumbing work for custom manufactured trailers and displays. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience in the plumbing industry, with familiarity with PVC, CPV, PEX, cast iron, and copper and will be expected to utilize all skills necessary to manufacture and build a variety of products and vehicles to meet specifications, quality and established deadlines.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial kitchens.
• Follow building plans and blueprints to customer specifications.
• Collaborate on projects with installers, electricians, and other production professionals to meet specific completion dates for projects.
• Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems.
• Maintain accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed, and materials used.
• Perform light fabrication, carpentry, ceiling installation and electrical work, as required.

Required Skills:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years' experience plumbing experience or applicable education from a trade school.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must have own tools.
• Must possess or add to skill sets as follows:
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade.
  • Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices.
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings.
  • Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to complete projects unsupervised and unassisted.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in basic mathematics and conversion of measurements.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with soda fountain heads and commercial ice makers.

Physical Requirements:

• Physical ability to stand up to 8+ hours per day.
• Physically able to climb in and out of trailers, scaffolding and ladders.
• Ability to lift & carry up to 75 lbs.
