Position Title: Pre - Press Technician

Location: St. Charles, MO

Position Summary:

The Pre – Press Technician will create full color graphics output that can be cut, weeded, and/or printed for application to a substrate. This process may involve various levels of creativity and will ultimately lead to the complete design or modified design from customer drawings or digital files.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret Work Order (WO) instructions.
• Work with Graphics Project Coordinators (GPC's) and Graphics Project Managers (GPM's) to clarify MO instructions and eliminate discrepancies in advance of production.
• Work with customer with design perspectives, file transfers and proper file set up.
• Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy.
• Determine color accuracy, style and size of fonts, and final arrangement.
• Analyze, trouble shoot, and identify potential problems with customer digital files.
• Inspect jobs for accuracy, flattening and color issues prior to submitting to the proofing stage.
• Setup cut files for ideal use of media and application.
• Measure vehicles to create template for placement of artwork, as needed.
• Knowledgeable in image sourcing, locating photos, copyright laws and releases.
• Provide graphic layout proofs for customer approval.
• Determine color match with customer intended output outside of rip software, as needed.
• Communicate with coworkers and customers on project timing or special needs.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment.

Required Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Mac, publishing software, sign production software, and internet skills.
• Ability to follow both written and oral instructions.
• Communicate well with others.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail.
• Ability to read measuring devices and work independently.
• Some travel may be required for the purpose of on-site assistance.
• Valid state driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Demonstrate safe driving practices while driving company vehicles or when driving your personal vehicle on behalf of the company.

Physical Requirements:

• Physical ability to stand up to 8+ hours per day.
• Ability to stand, lift 75 pounds and bend.
• Ability to work on a ladder, sit/stand, bend and climb.
• Ability to bend, grip and move fingers/hands.
