Position Title: Program Support Manager

Location: St. Charles, MO


Position Summary:

The Program Manager will ensure that assigned project-based programs adhere to established schedules, specifications, and budgets.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leads an interdepartmental team to complete assigned projects on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Conducts cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project.
  • Conducts risk assessments; reports identified risks to management; provides recommendations for mitigation of risks.
  • Coordinates the operation of departments to confirm that assigned programs are completed according to specifications, budgets, and schedules.
  • Ensures project success with high customer satisfaction, on-time delivery, and performance to budgets.
  • Regularly communicates with customers/clients to arrange meetings, confirm program schedules, and discuss any program challenges, maintain scope and secure payment for scope changes.
  • Ensures customers and/or clients are regularly informed of the status of programs.
  • Regularly communicates with management regarding the program's status and any material risks or shortfalls to schedule or project budgets.
  • Forecasts potential schedule shortfalls and develops alternate plans to ensure successful mitigation.
  • Acts as a liaison between company, customers, and vendors.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversees a team to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
  • Delegates work and assignments to team members based on expertise, work experience, and time constraints.
  • Provides resources, advice, guidance, support, training to those who want to serve as a leader.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, which may include Computer Science, Business, or Engineering.
  • Minimum of ten years of related experience.
  • PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certifications highly desirable.
  • Advanced managerial maturity and servant leadership skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced, time-sensitive and at times demanding environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project or related software with superior project planning skills. Must be able to travel up to 15% of time.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
