Project Coordinator

The Project Coordinator is an entry-level developmental role designed to build foundational project management skills within a custom manufacturing and fabrication environment. This position supports Project Managers in coordinating custom trailer, display, vehicle, and specialty build projects from kickoff through delivery.

The Project Coordinator will gain hands-on experience in scheduling, documentation, cross-functional coordination, and customer communication while developing toward independent project management responsibility.

Project Coordination & Support

• Assist Project Managers in coordinating projects from design through fabrication, assembly, and final delivery.
• Collaborate with production, purchasing, and logistics teams to manage project-related material movement.
• Assist Project Manager with incoming and outgoing materials for projects.
• Help track schedules, milestones, budgets, and deliverables.
• Maintain project documentation, including change orders, meeting notes, and status updates.
• Update project management software and internal tracking systems.

Cross-Functional Communication

• Coordinate communication between engineering, purchasing, production, graphics, and installation teams.
• Participate in internal production meetings and assist with follow-up actions.
• Help identify scheduling conflicts or production risks and escalate appropriately.

Customer & Vendor Interaction

• Support Project Managers in communicating timelines, updates, and documentation to customers.
• Assist with gathering vendor quotes, tracking purchase orders, and monitoring material lead times.
• Ensure customer specifications and revisions are documented accurately.

Shop Floor & Production Exposure

• Spend time in fabrication and assembly areas to understand build progress and workflow.
• Monitor production progress and report status updates.

• Associate's degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Interest in manufacturing, fabrication, and custom build environments.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills across departments and levels.
• Must demonstrate a consistent and stable work history, along with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Familiarity with scheduling or project management software.
• Familiarity with inventory control principles and ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
• CAPM Certification.

• Sitting, standing, and walking in office, warehouse and manufacturing environments.
• Ability to climb in and out of trailers, scaffolding and up ladders.
• Ability to bend, lift, and position self to move about the office, as needed.
• Required use of fingers and hands to operate a computer.
• Vision abilities required by this job include close and/or color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
• Must have the ability to hear and respond to auditory signals, distinguish tones and pitches in equipment, and use hearing protection during specific tasks.
