Craftsmen Industries custom manufactures unique specialty trailers and vehicles and large format printed elements for experiential marketing and industrial solutions for brands across the industry spectrum including Boeing, PepsiCo, and Anheuser-Busch. Our Craftsmen team includes one subsidiary, Schantz Manufacturing. Schantz focuses on custom manufacturing of concession trailers for the fair and festival industry.

Position Title: Sewer

Location: St. Charles, MO

Position Summary: The Sewer will be expected to meet established timelines and will be responsible for constructing products such as banners, tents and skirts by means of sewing, welding, trimming material, and installing grommets to meet customer specifications.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Accurately cut and construct material to meet required customer specifications.
• Install Velcro, vinyl welding and grommets to finished product, as necessary.
• Complete projects within established timelines.
• Package finished product for shipping.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Required Skills:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read a measuring device.
• Proficient in sewing, vinyl welding, and grommet machine operation.
• Excellent communication skills, time management and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

• Physical ability to stand up to 8+ hours per day.
• Must be able to physically perform the following:
  • Use, bend, and grip hands/fingers.
  • Stand, bend, and lift 75 pounds.
  • Up and down use of a ladder.
