Job Title: Temporary Class A CDL Driver

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Temporary Class A CDL Driver to join our team. The driver will be responsible for safely transporting trailers to various destinations within the designated routes. This temporary position requires adherence to all federal and state driving regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safe Transportation: Operate a Class A commercial vehicle between designated locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery.
• Vehicle Inspection: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, lights, and other safety equipment.
• Route Management: Follow assigned routes and schedules, utilizing GPS or other navigation tools to optimize efficiency, as needed.
• Compliance: Adhere to all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety guidelines. Maintain accurate logs of hours, mileage, and fuel usage, as needed.
• Customer Interaction: Provide professional and courteous service to clients during pick-up and delivery operations.
• Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues that may arise during transport, including mechanical problems or delays.
• Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of deliveries, receipts, and any incidents or accidents that occur during transport.
• Maintenance Reporting: Report any mechanical issues or vehicle damage to the shop department promptly.
• Safety Practices: Follow all safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CDL License: Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Experience: Minimum of [1 years] of experience driving Class A vehicles.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with DOT regulations, road safety, and operation of commercial vehicles.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to operate vehicles in various weather conditions.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills for effective interaction with clients and other team members.
• Availability: Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed for the duration of the temporary assignment.

Work Environment:

• Primarily on the road, with time spent in the cab of a commercial vehicle.
• Exposure to different weather conditions and road environments.
• Physical demands may include lifting, loading, and securing cargo.
